200!

Just realized this is my 200th post.
That actually implies a lot of stitches.
:o)

I also realized sometime three days ago that it is easier and faster to finish projects you've already started then to start and finish completely new ones.
Wow.
Seems like a statement of the obvious, but I really think I put things away thinking, "eh, I'll do that one later when I get more time."
Yeah, like I'm ever going to get more time.
In fact, I'm 20.5 weeks pregnant with twins... there won't be any more time for a long time.

Back to the stitches.

On deck today:

A granny square table runner in Joy by Kate Spain for Moda. These blocks were the leftovers from the "production" of this quilt.

Some very happy coasters in Meadow Friends by Deb Strain for Moda.

A small table runner in Birds and Berries by Lauren and Jessi Jung for Moda.
I only used the purple and coral for this one.
I couldn't find any way to make the purple work with the blue for me...
They weren't even combined in a print so I figured I was allowed to exclude them from each other.
I actually have a quilt in the rest of the jelly roll... I should post pictures of it tomorrow.
I'm keeping it for my little who.
As I was quilting it (no, not cutting, piecing, basting), I realized it matched her future room colors and that she would NEED it to throw on her bed. :o)
Yeah, it took me that long.

And some coasters in Summersville by Lucie Summers for Moda.
Loved this line.
I have a twin sized quilt in these fabrics that needs to be quilted.
That project lost momentum when we moved...
Lame me.

These have all been listed in the shop. :)

Matching Pillows

Hope you all had a great weekend.
I ended up watching the two Iron Man movies.
Awesome.
When the first one ended I asked the hubs to turn the second one on right then.
He said he was too tired.
WHAT?!
Made me wait a day and give him a massage for running out and getting it at Redbox as Netflix was giving us a poor quality image...

Aside from that, I did some FUN quilting.
Sometimes small projects are sooooo satisfying.

Also in Give Thanks by Deb Strain for Moda.
I love fall colors.

One was a simple patchwork with straight quilting.

It's compliment is an applique leaf with swirl quilting.
Have I ever mentioned how much I love contrast?

Next to their "friend" the runner I made the week before.

Complete with envelope closures.

They are currently in the shop.

Fallen Leaves Quilt and Pattern

Have you seen this new line?
Lots of cuteness.
Applique table runner in Give Thanks by Deb Strain for Moda.

Modernized leaves.
Simple enough, no?

Some swirly quilting.
A little straight stitching too.
And done.

I LOVE applique.
I know, you already knew that... : )

And, for your sewing pleasure, a pattern.

In the shop.

Meadow Friends

So, trying to sew while the little guy is awake is getting almost comical.

This is not supposed to be how this toy functions.
But the little man doesn't really care how things are supposed to function.
He is only interested in getting as high as he can and maximizing the danger factor of a given object.

This is the point at which the camera went flying to the side and I raced to catch the impending crash!

So, what did manage to get finished today - Baby Quilt in Meadow Friends by Deb Strain for Moda.
Great fabric collection - lots of rich colors and adorable little frogs, lizards, hummingbirds, and well, meadow friends :)
It's even named properly.
In the shop.

Happy Halloween!

Got a few things done this week and a few more in progress. A few table toppers and a bunting in Trick or Treat by Deb Strain for Moda. I quilted these in non-parallel straight lines for a spiderweb effect.
Not the best picture - but it made me smile back at it. :)
I love the quilting for these. Even the husband liked it! WOOHOO!
Patchwork bunting.
Very fun and a really quick project.
I recommend it!
These are in the shop too.

Moda's Deb Strain's Nature's Gift Runner

...like the "mother's sister's friend's baby thing.

haha, yes, I just made myself laugh.

I'm just that dorky.

Little Christmas wreaths applique and patchwork table topper.

I really liked the "formal" look of it but the hubs said he thought it was just "okay."

Since when does he get a "real" opinion????

Good thing it doesn't bother me. lol.

This gorgeous fabric line is Nature's Gift by Deb Strain for Moda.

Anyway, it's in the shop as well.
