Hello Fall

HELLO fall!

Even in Houston we've been enjoying some cooler (not exactly cool) temperatures and subsequently the great outdoors.

But I have squeezed in a little stitching time.

As everyone should.

Seriously lovely fabrics that NEED to be decorating someone's house this fall...

Super skinny strip coasters.

Random echo straight line quilting.

A few gorgeous gourds.

Autumnal awesomeness.

Actually my house has been decorated for fall/halloween/thanksgiving for weeks.

Might have jumped the gun a little on that one.

And my first rag wreath!

These could be a very addictive thing.

Like possibly more addictive than Candy Crush...

Possibly.

I hope you are enjoying the season too!

Both are in the shop

Matching Pillows

Hope you all had a great weekend.
I ended up watching the two Iron Man movies.
Awesome.
When the first one ended I asked the hubs to turn the second one on right then.
He said he was too tired.
WHAT?!
Made me wait a day and give him a massage for running out and getting it at Redbox as Netflix was giving us a poor quality image...

Aside from that, I did some FUN quilting.
Sometimes small projects are sooooo satisfying.

Also in Give Thanks by Deb Strain for Moda.
I love fall colors.

One was a simple patchwork with straight quilting.

It's compliment is an applique leaf with swirl quilting.
Have I ever mentioned how much I love contrast?

Next to their "friend" the runner I made the week before.

Complete with envelope closures.

They are currently in the shop.

Little Apples

First, a little story.
Yesterday while I sat sewing, my 3 year old was playing with her little VTech toy that has a keyboard. She typed in "MODA" and then said, "Mommy, I typed the word Moda because I love them."
I asked her why she loved Moda.
Her response, "They are nice and send you all the pretty fabric."
HAHAHAHAHA!
So, not only does my 3 year old know how to spell "Moda" but she also loves them for sending me pretty fabric!
Brainwashing = SUCCESS!!!
Now if only they would send it for free. ;)
On to the quilt de jour...
I love the little drawings in Aneela Hooey's new Little Apples for Moda fabric line.
These little images DEMANDED to be fussy cut and framed.
Okay, maybe that's a bit much.
But they did politely ask me to do so.
I obliged them.
This line definitely has some fall flair to it.
The quilt is baby sized at about 36" x 36" and is in the shop.
