It's a little bit warm outside

but Christmas comes early for quilters.

Really early. 

It's awesome. 

The non-quilter world just doesn't understand. 

Like the In from the Cold fabric line by Kate Spain that made an appearance recently.

I've had this idea swimming in my head for a while. 

My very loving husband held the twinners for me so I could sew a bit here and there until it finished. 

Which reminds me... 

Parker Eli and Preston Emery haven't made their debut on this blog... oh, the sweet babies.

So much sweeter when they're sleeping too. hehe.

Back to the quilt... 

It's wall-hanging size.

I do plan on writing up a pattern for it in the very near future... just tell those little boys to go back to sleep. :)

I had a bit of fun with the quilting.

It had me singing Christmas songs again. 

I'm sure everyone around here really appreciated that part.

My adventure in solids is finished... temporarily.

I love how the colors turned out with the prairie points and the little pillow...

The straight line quilting kept it nice and boyish too I think.

Very fun to make!

Another day, another quilt!

Love, love, love this fabric. Thank you MoMo for Wonderland. I even got the jelly roll for $24 at the quilt festival - STEAL!

Plus, there's another quilt from this fabric line that I'm going to go bind now.

Resolved.

Snowy Sneak Peeks

In light of the fact that it is snowing outside, in Houston (I know, highly unusual weather) I thought I'd take the extra indoor time today to post some nearly done projects that will be making it to the shop soon. Just as soon as I go buy materials and get the fabric orders to finish these... waiting and waiting for online orders to arrive is very frustrating!

this is a custom ordered quilt that will be a queen sized tree quilt... this is just the background that the tree will be appliqued onto...

This is the Authentic by Sweetwater for Moda quilt that I have been taking my sweet time about finishing...

And since I'm without materials for these and it's snowing... I had to make some of these... Oh, darn the bad luck. ;o)
