Partly Cloudy

...with Sunnyside by Kate Spain for Moda.

Sunnyside is set to hit stores next month.
I can't wait to get more of it...
Especially the yardage.

(I got this fabric for doing something that I still need to share about. It seems like there just aren't any spare minutes these days to get to what I want to do... meh. Twins will do that to you.)

An Easter Dress in Ruby

Some Ruby and California Girl... I think.
It's been a while since I bought the fabric.
A little Easter dress for my princess. :)

Woohoo for one more thing on the "to do list" done before the twins arrive. :)

Teeny Baby Dresses

My new little niece Kylie was born almost 2 weeks ago now and was only 35 weeks 5 days and weighed in at 5 lbs 14 oz. and 17 inches.

She's soooooo cute! And squishy looking! I'm very jealous that I can't hold her and am travel restricted.

Anyway, I whipped up two "itty bitty baby dresses" for her in a few of the beautiful Liberty Art Fabrics Bloomsbury Collection fabrics.

Free pattern can be found here.
I mean, she is "itty bitty."
But even then they're still too big for her!!

So cute. I need another girl...

So nice.

Sharing that is.
I love getting pictures from people of what they have made with my patterns.
This one was particularly gorgeous and different in a non-Christmas finish so I thought I should share it with you.
The pattern is "Dash Away All" found here.

Feel free to go leave Brea, a new-to-quilting artist, some love in her Etsy shop

Birds and Berries Part 2

I almost forgot to post this one.
It's going under the tree for my little who for Christmas.
I think it will be a great little throw blanket for her future bedroom.
We move Dec. 22 - yeah, just in time to make Christmas MORE crazy.

The fabric is Birds and Berries by Lauren and Jessi Jung for Moda.
I did exclude the purple colorway from the rest of the line.

Oh I'm getting more excited for Christmas just looking at this!!! :D

Cuzco

I've had a BLAST sewing this one.
Such vibrant colors.

A rainbow rectangular prism.

Fabric line is Cuzco by Kate Spain for Moda.
Love.
Makes me wish one of these babies was going to be a girl.

In the shop. SOLD.

Sew Stitchy in Hexagons

I finally got to sew.
A hexagon quilt in Sew Stitchy by Aneela Hoey for Moda.
And it's ever so cute!
I LOVE the little pins fabric.

My little guy REALLY wants to be a part of EVERYTHING I do these days.
I mean EVERYTHING.

The back is the hexagon print.
I found it particularly appropriate given the front.

It's in the shop.

Happy stitching this weekend!!

Kid's Clothes

This week was "clothes week."

Not that anyone needed any clothes per se, but once the serger is running it's hard to stop it.
Both of my machines have a mind and a will power all their own!

A onsie and skirt for my niece, Claire. She doesn't know it's coming and neither does her mom. :)

This is an older and favorite fabric line of her mother's - Sorbet by Sentimental Studios for Moda.
Plus, she likes blue for girls.
Perfection.

A skirt for my little girl from Vintage Modern by Bonnie and Camille.
The loveliest aquas and reds in their lines.

Some pants for my little man in the bike print of Lucy's Crab Shack by Sweetwater and in the cars and buildings print of Summersville by Lu Summers.

I can't even begin to explain how much he LOVES seeing these fabrics.
I'm not sure if he's fully settled with the idea that he gets to wear them and touch them.
Usually mommy's fabric is such a big no-no. :)

Overall, total success this week in the sewing department.
Now the quilting department...
I have a MILLION works in progress.
Something needs to get finished to save my sanity.

Hope everyone has a good week.
Thanks for stopping by.

Vintage Modern

I made another orange peel Sashiko circles quilt this time in Vintage Modern by Bonnie and Camille for Moda.

If you want one too, you can download the free pattern on my blog in the right side column.

I decided to make this pattern with the charm pack I bought after I flipped through it and saw this backing fabric. :)

Applique makes me happy.

Favorite fabric in this line was the red on pink houndstooth print.
I bought some yardage of it for a future dress for the little princess.
Better get started on those projects too.
I would love to know if there ever was a quilter who finished ALL of their projects!

In the shop.

Lucy's Crab Shack

Saturday always seems to bring at least one finished quilt.
Today I have lots. :)

This baby quilt is in Lucy's Crab Shack by Sweetwater for Moda.

This backing fabric with swimwear on a clothesline just may be in my top 3 all time favorites for a quilt back.

And don't get me started on those cute kite tail prints.

Or the bicycles!
My little guy LOVES that fabric.
I bought some more to make him something from it too. :)

In the shop.

Fresh Cottons.

A little "Fresh Cottons" to share with you today.
(Fig Tree Quilts for Moda)

This one's actually pretty big - 60" x 72".
I love stacked coin quilts because they remind me of the DNA gel images in the lab.

I went with the largest scale print in the line for the backing and the green binding.

I also opted for borders on this one.
My little who was SERIOUSLY envious of that red dot fabric.
She wanted me to make a dress out of it.
NOW!
If I were a nice mom, I would have made her a dress with it.
Obviously, I'm not that nice. ;)
I'll grab more for her when I go back to the store if she reminds me, but my bet is that she'll forget all about it.
